Net Betting Target of Probe: Groundbreaking Case Involves Silicon Valley-Based Operation
“Federal Investigators have targeted their first Silicon Valley Internet gambling operation, jumping into what has become uncharted, difficult territory for law enforcement officials nationwide. . . . ’They swarmed in on this man and his family like a horde of locusts,’ said San Francisco attorney Nanci Clarence, who represents Brown. ‘We believe this was a lawful (use) of the Internet – his gaming structure does not run afoul of the gambling prohibition.’”
