NANCI CLARENCE COMMENTS IN THE DAILY JOURNAL ABOUT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S REFORMS FOR JUSTICE SYSTEM

Nanci Clarence was quoted extensively in the Daily Journal on August 13, 2013 in the wake of Attorney General Eric Holder’s announcement of new measures to overhaul the criminal justice system and curb inequities caused by mandatory minimum sentencing laws. While lauding the shift in DOJ policy, Clarence noted “the devil will be in the details…prosecutors working on cases often inflate the danger posed by defendants…the practice could undercut the new policy.”
